| 20th February 2012 The Deepcut Development Project 
 
				 
				The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) had a Second Public Consultation on the latest proposals for the redevelopment of Princess Royal Barracks  on the 10th February, 
				from 2.00pm until 8.00pm and the 11th February, from 9.00am until midday at the SPAR, Dettingen Park Store, Newfoundland Road, Deepcut.
				This exhibition showed how the proposals have developed since the First Public Consultation on the 7th December (see next paragraph).  The revised proposals are available to view online at
				www.gva.co.uk/prbdevelopment . Also see a video blog of

				The DIO staged an exhibition in Deepcut Village Hall, showing proposals for the redevelopment of Princess Royal Barracks
				on the 7th December 2011 from 1.30pm until 7.30pm. Responses to the consultation had to be in by the 4th January. In response, the society sent in a 
				letter supporting and adding to the 
				letter sent in by the Deepcut Liaison Group.
				 
				The final Deepcut SPD has been adopted by both Surrey Heath and Guildford Borough Councils as
				informal planning guidance.
 SHBC has now set up a series of pages on its Website which will provide information on the 
				Deepcut Development Project over its lifetime.
 
				SHBC has released the Scoping Report for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) 
				on the Princess Royal Barracks (PRB), Deepcut. The Society has submitted a 
				letter to SHBC commenting on the report.
				 Update on Deepcut Traffic Study Petition 
				Surrey Heath Borough Council's Executive considered the petition at its meeting on 27 September 2011
                and resolved the following: 
	                              Support the petition; and                Commission a traffic impact assessment in relation to the development of the Princess Royal Barracks at Deepcut as part of the planning application process.
