Sadly our former chairman Kevin Daley passed away late at night on December 30th, his wife Maharukh and family were with him at the time. The Society committee would like to offer their sincerest condolences to Maharukh and all the Daley family

The funeral will take place at 3.00pm, 6th January at Aldershot Crematorium. The family has asked that you do not send flowers, donations can be sent to the funeral director, E. Finch & Sons. All donations will go to Phyllis Tuckwell and Cancer Research.

There will be a gathering after the funeral at Aldershot Cricket Club. All are more than welcome but if you plan to attend it would be greatly appreciated if you could reply to info@mfgdsociety.org.uk so there is some idea of how many to cater for.

Kevin will be greatly missed by the Society for his charm, wisdom, organizational ability and dynamism, his committment and dedication to the local area will be hard to replace. He was an energetic community activist, other community groups solicited his advice and help both of which he gave freely and unconditionally.

He first became chairman in mid 2010, having served previously as vice chairman. Because of ill health he resigned as chairman in mid 2015 but stayed on the committee where he gave help and sage advice right up to the very end.
