Heritage Hot Spots
(Surrey Heath Borough Council's 50th Anniversary)

Surrey Heath Museum is currently looking into Surrey Heath's past and present using the museum archive for the 50th  anniversary of Surrey Heath Borough Council.

The project is called 'Heritage Hot Spots' and focuses on the wonderful heritage of our area - They are keen to reflect the uniqueness of Surrey Heath and wish to engage with the community and talk to people about what is great about Surrey Heath.

They are looking to get some information (a couple of sentences) about what is great about the area in which we live.  These sentences will be put on display at the Surrey Heath Museum, alongside photographs (then and now) of a few street scenes of their village/town.  This event is across all ages.

They are aiming to have a display in the museum for the beginning of March, so hope to be able to meet with some local people asap!

There is also an 'add on' which is to encourage any local groups to create an art display (it can be of work already completed),  for one of the empty unit windows in The Square, Camberley.  This will create an opportunity to promote their club whilst encouraging art in the community.

The museum display will be on in March and April whilst the art- work displays will hopefully begin in Spring'
